Open water swimming

Hi

Can anyone tell me which lido has the largest swimming area? I'm training for a triathlon and want to practice swimming in open water.

Thanks!

How about "the lake" itself? Just jump in? E.g. at Zürichhorn?

For reference - https://www.stadt-zuerich.ch/pd/de/i...adenimsee.html

This helps to avoid collisions.

PS: If you'd rather not take the risk of swimming in traffic, try Türlersee or Egelsee. These are natural reserves, where swimming is allowed, but traffic will be much more limited.

Re: Open water swimming

Just go to the next official open water training session on July 16th, 4pm at Strandbad Mythenquai, meet like-minded people and find out more about training possibilities.

Tempo-Sport Open Water

And don't forget that today the European Championship starts in Geneva. Elite races on Saturday.

Re: Open water swimming

If you go swimming by yourself outside the inner zones, wear a coloured cap - however daft you think it is. As soon as the water surface is ruffled it is terribly hard to see a lone swimmer.
