Sauna

Hi
I like going to sauna very much. I wonder if Swiss people are use it? Are saunas popular and available in big Swiss cities, like Zurich or Geneva?

Thanks for the info.

Re: Sauna

Yes, lots of sauna places in Switzerland.

I recommend the one in the thermal baths at Scuol.

Re: Sauna

Be careful. Many "Private" saunas are places where men can meet prostitutes!

To be on the safe side, use a sauna attached to a public swimming bath / pool.

Yes, the people are usually naked, but are expected to sit down on a towel, and not to drip perspiration onto the furniture.

Touching, staring & eye contact are to be avoided!

Re: Sauna

A good place for different type of Sauna's, relaxation rooms and massages: the Asiaspa fitness club located above the hotel Sheraton in Silhcity (Zürich)

If you are into fitness, they have a pretty good area... They are open until midnight every day.

Such are often called "sauna club" or some variation thereof.

In case of doubt, a perusal of their website should give a clear idea of the type of "services" and "extras" they offer.

Tangentising for a second - on the road from Buchs to Wildhaus there is a "Contact Bar" - which I suspect is not a bar in which you'd expand your business network.

Meanwhile "Joy" is not a religious sect publicizing the word of the lord.

Well, not all gods are against having fun you know. IT's only those that come from the desert that want to spoil our lives.

The Greek and Roman deities for example, they know how to party...

There's a ruin of a roman sauna near St. Peter's church as well.
