Anyone wants to share tennis lessons in Zurich?

Hi there,

I am looking for a couple of people willing to share a tennis coach and after acquiring some basic skills looking to meet to play regularly during the summer.

I am a beginner, but very entusiastic!

Oerlikon/Seebach area.

Re: Anyone wants to share tennis lessons in Zurich?

Hi There!

I just went to play tennis with my boyfriend and after an hour of hitting balls off the court, missing balls that were hit right next to me, and generally playing really, really badly...I came to the conclusion I need to take some lessons...

I am based in Kloten, and I think the court we played at today was in Seebach (eich-something). So if you are still interested when you come back from your vacation, let me know!

Re: Anyone wants to share tennis lessons in Zurich?

Hi there, I can TEACH you tennis.

Basic beginners skills and techniques.
Play.
Swing.
Grip.
Service.
Counting. Yes, counting.

If you are at least 2 or 4 people. Committed to a lesson per week for say 4 to 6 weeks.

You book and pay for the court.

You buy the training balls (say 100) and the basket (1 or 2).
I guess it is about 100chf-150chf.

If you split these costs up between you, say 4 people, I can and am willing to be your beginners' coach.

If you want a "professional" coach from one of the tennis clubs, go ahead and pay him/her.

If you can trust me for a "good time" and a pragmatic lesson, you can pay me netto for the court and equipment, plus an occasional beer or 2, then I am ready when you are.

Of course, my reputation had been smeared elsewhere before this posting, so you may think thrice before signing up.

I have been observed to swing hard at the balls.

I am not affiliated with any swiss tennis club, but I have been a teen coach when I was just 14 years old. I can only teach basics.
And I know many people NEED to learn the basics, before improving. Much like Golf.

Reason I am doing this: I have this teaching blood and I love tennis. Also I may retire as a tennis coach when my day job ends.
A second reason: I want to begin to train my son, he is 4.
Thirdly, if you are happy with me, you may let me keep the balls and equipment (I am quite confident about this)
Lastly, I like my training partners (not students) to help me train myself too. 10 mins/hr?
Getting training is not the same as turning up with fellow beginners and trying to hit the ball.

I live near Schlieren Vitis / Urdorf / Birmensdorf.

PS: I am not making money out of this , but I realise paying upfront, makes the trainees turn up. You make that call.

28 X 4 = 112chf per hour.
At this price, this should INCLUDE the payment for the tennis court already.
You should also ask for a formal or informa curriculum.

Eg:
introduction to tennis rules
grip styles
forehand stroke
backhand stroke
overhead smash
volley
half-volley
service
fitness conditioning

....
That would be better information.

If you are willing to pay 28chf per person X4, why not use this money to rent the courts, buy some balls, and I am willing to "train with you" for say a few lessons?

eg: 112chf X 4 lessons = 448chf.
rental of court (summer price) = 35chf (average) X4 = 140chf.
You still have 300chf for balls, basket and beer/juice !

Cheap training balls and baskets can be bought for about 150-200chf from many places in CH.

I am not a certified coach, but I do enjoy helping others learn the BASICS of tennis.
