Cycling in Rolle, Gland, Nyon and surroundings

Hi, I am a keen cyclist but returning from an injury after a long time out of the saddle. I looked into a club ride from Nyon but they are too fast for me at this stage and I am looking at cycling along the lake side road from Rolle, Nyon or Gland for fun, fitness and getting some fresh whilst getting to know the area a little more. Hoping I can find like minded people to join me for a modest ride of app 40 km @ 20 km/hr whilst we build up speed and pace as fitness increases and who knows, we may even venture up a short hill.
Suggested meeting time of 9 am weekends as well as week days and getting a few courses together once local roads have been experienced. We can do a circular route once twice to three times and this allows riders to bail if they don't want to ride further. Back in the UK I belonged to a similar group and eventually had 120 riders of varying abilities enjoying the choice of 5 rides - different distances and speeds with a Facebook page of leaders and even GPS maps of where to ride. Come on- blow the winter cobwebs off and let's meet down by the lake . Totally open to suggested routes and cafe stops as I am new to this part of the world.

I'm looking for same

I got a point around November of doing around 100km at 26km/h .. But have been lazy since then, well skiing instead actually..

Just had the bike serviced on Saturday so ready to start again..(after the easter weekend) My usual type route was Eysins > Nyon > Gland > Rolle > Morge .. Or Up around the hills to Aubonne or even St George, Gimmel etc.
Another easy route I do sometimes is out to Divonne and around the lake there until I get dizzy.

I'm signed up to do the tour de lac in May so I need to practice!

Edit :: 9am ?? That's almost lunchtime

LOL. I suppose after this weekend 9 am is a bit late. I wanted to try and gauge interest first. I live in St George so cycling here from try lake is something I ultimately want to work towards but with the injury I am getting over I need flats first. Fancy a few flat miles then? I will also work towards Tour De Lac. Come on - there have to be more people out there that want some company and motivation to ride more?!
Regards

Neil

Hey - i'd be happy to tag along with you guys as well, I'm not the fastest, but the speeds you are talking about don't seem too scary....also somewhat contemplating the Tour Du Lac...
