Downhill skiing locations close to zurich

I'm new to Switzerland/Zurich.
I haven't been skiing for a few too many years

I have a few questions that maybe someone knows (my searching is coming up with too many options).

1) Where would you go (this coming weekend - end of January)
-- I do not have a car yet, so will need public transportation
2) I see places rent ski's, do they come with boots - or do I need to rent those as well
3) I'm seeing prices of about 50ish chf is that correct, for 1 day of adult skiing

Thanks for the help - I want to get back into skiing.

That's because there are too many answers. To simplify it, just come to Engelberg, and book some refresher lessons with me to get back into it.

Skis and boots are rented separately. Poles will be included in ski rental prices.

Most decent places will be a bit more than chf50 for a day ticket, and you should budget around another 50 for skis and boots. Most people here rent them for the whole season (lots of threads about this) for about what it would coast for a week from a resort shop, so consider this if you're planning more than two or the day trips.

We know - it has been posted 43 times before. But we understand that searching a website can be challenging and are more than happy to repost the same stuff again and again.

Useful hint - black runs are the easy ones.
