Hiking this weekend

A friend coming over and we want to go hiking, preferrably to a summit of *something*, rewarded by nice views downwards.
However, most of the candidates nearby (such as Niesen, Pilatus etc.) seem to have hiking trails marked as "closed". (I assume some of them as precaution, as there is not much snow under 2000m now)

Do you have any ideas where the snow might not be crazy deep and some (properly equipped with boots) hiking relatively high is possible?

Thanks,
D

Eepus has no particular reputation at present
Re: Hiking this weekend

We did the Wildspitz couple weeks ago and it was almost snow free apart from the shady parts on northside, there you would need to be bit careful. It is a really nice day out and the restaurant at Wilspotz was already open at least on the weekend. Just be careful on the snowy bits. We managed with good hiking shoes but took easier way down and took our time. Maybe walk say from sattel via Wildspitz to Arth-Goldau. Rigi is another candidate but not sure how their trails are. I would avoid going someplace abundant with snow taken the warm tempratures but if you do check the avalanche bulletin carefully before going!
