Street Workout sites in Zurich?

Hello Zurchers

Is there more than one single Street Workout site in Zurich? Maybe "street workout" is a brand name and they're generally known as something else..?

Having one within a five minute walk has done wonders for my general condition, wouldn't mind having one close by if we end up moving that way.

Edit: to clarify to those averse to clicking, the thing in question is an outdoor exercise system, a set of bars and... well, more bars. The kind you use for pull-ups and various other hanging/wobbling activities, rather than the kind with taps. I've seen these called monkeybars when they're in kiddie parks, but these are meant for a more general audience. (There's a picture in the map link.)

Re: Street Workout sites in Zurich?

Zürich is literally stuffed with these Outdoor fitness things,
So will you have one close-by? Yes. Will it be only 5 minutes? Maybe.

I really like the so called vita parcours on Eutliberg, and the one on Entlisberg, great surrounding and good tracks with good and properly maintained equipment on the route, much more than just a single thing but you might love then on sunny days.

Re: Street Workout sites in Zurich?

Vitaparcours seems to usually be a set of exercises interspersed around a jogging route. They are nice, but these concentrated monkeybar things are pretty versatile for amateur acrobatics, compared to the individual bars usually found in vitaparcours.

Good to hear about this option, anyway, thank you!

In the past: Any schoolyard.

But because kids getting concussion from falling of from the horizontal bars, balance beam, parallel bars, and the climbing poles they were all removed.

Here some one ask the same question, and only Irchel is the answer
https://www.ronorp.net/zuerich/stadt...en-wo.175195//

There is an other one at the Saalsporthalle/Brunau
It has also public lockers and showers.

Even better performance/price ratio than Vitaparcour (there is on up at Albisguetli) ;-) .

Superb, this gives me a few more places and a couple of new terms to use in searches. Thanks!

Re: Street Workout sites in Zurich?

I guess you're looking for calisthenic parks?

I usually go to this one:

Calisthenics Park - Schulschwimmanlage Altweg

However there is also one at ETH Milchbuck which is much newer..

Send me a message if you want to go.

Not all vitaparcours are equal.
Here's a list of the urban "power station" versions:
