| | Outdoor Shops with End-of-Season Sales?
I'm not looking for suggestions in any specific area of Switzerland, but I was wondering if anyone knows of outdoor shops (for skiing gear, clothing, backpacks, etc..) which have good end-of-season sales?

I'm new to Switzerland, so I would probably take a trip to one of these shops and combine it with a weekend getaway to explore a new part of this country.

I was at the Fashion Outlet in Landquart today and they have a ton of stores with good deals (Mammut, Salomon, Quicksilver, Odlo, Adidas just to name few).

A poor one will leave a lot of stock needing to be shifted so you're more likely to find bargains.
In this context I'd not include any of the big chains already mentioned - by and large the 'sale' items will be old discontinued product that's being shifted by the manufacturer/distributor and is bought in specifically for the sale. If this is what you want then a dedicated outlet like http://www.sport-lager.ch/ * will likely be a better bet, and you don't need to wait until Spring.
Otherwise, it really helps if you live in a ski resort, so you can see if and when they're trying to get rid of good stuff they've failed to sell. I really can't remember the last time I ever paid full retail price for ski or outdoor kit, barring a few bits and bobs from Decathlon, which of course are already cheap as chips.
*I've sourced quite a few things from them over the years, including my still-current off-piste skis, of which they had two pairs at the Pratteln shop for around 600chf including top-spec bindings. One pair was still there last season, two years after I bought mine. Pot luck, of course, but sometimes you may get lucky, like I did there.

Out of interest, does the Och shop still exists in Zurich?

They want to move the stuff out to make room for the spring and summer stuff, same as with clothing stores.

I guess that I will also add that the Facebook Marketplace is a really awesome spot to find good deals on Ski gear.
I recently picked up a pair of Salomon QST Boots (Retail at least for 500 CHF), for just 250 CHF.

Outdoor outlet store in Root. (Between Zug and Luzern) I just bought a pair of Salewa hiking boots marked down from 300 to 180.

Usually known as an electronics store, but last year I got the best bargains here, and this year their sales have started early: https://www.brack.ch/sport-outdoor/winterangebote |

No, lovely old sport shop, with wonderful wood and wrought iron stair case, in the centre of Zurich.
OK found it https://www.ochsport.ch/
looks like it has been massively modernised - it was a fabulous shop in the 50s - when I went there with my mum .
