Intermediate Cycling Group

With the weather hopefully warming up soon I am starting to think about cycling again!

Are there any regular EnglishForum (or other) cycling groups doing regular weekend and/or weeknight rides? Looking for intermediate level road riding rather than high club standard!

Everyone has different ideas of what “intermediate” means on sporting activities, particularly in Switzerland.

Might be worth giving some more details... distance, time, vertical, W/kg etc what you are aiming to get out of the ride.

Re: Intermediate Cycling Group

I was thinking along the lines of 25km/h average, distances of something like 40km - 80km, not too serious elevation. Primarily a social / cafe ride rather than a hard training ride.

Wayyy short of dictating pace on watts/kg!

I'd say that was around intermediate yeah..

I've been around the lake at Geneva a couple of times.. 186km @ ~25km/h average. Certainly not easy but the leaders were over 40km/h average!!

Re: Intermediate Cycling Group

Had a couple of PM’s expressing interest. Shout up if you’re keen. I stress that these will be social group rides rather than intense training rides!

Realistically looking to kick off in March (when it’s not freezing!).
