I knew better this time, started weights with a 50% less volume and 30% less intensity than usual, only slight DOMS so far I have to admit though, it was hard to hold back... Try some foam rolling if you feel like punishing yourself
Nooo. Not a masochist. I started half the sprint distance, half the complete distance, sprinted only on speed 16 and not 22. And still.

Don't you have a track nearby that you can use to do your sprints? Or you prefer the treadmill?
I do, coz I do a circuit of machines and rowing right after. Balance half dome. I don't have to think.

I am not sure how. It's FFP2, as well.

I think everyone sweats, it's a healthy mechanism. You just gotta hydrate. (Ahhhh, tryin' to unsee the "be like mom and cure all by hydrating" tiktok )
There are sweaters... and there are profuse sweaters and I am in the latter category .

Put it this way, when we lived in Singapore, my tennis partner refused to let me hold the second ball when I was serving because my skirt was usually beyond drenched. She would say, "It is hard enough to play tennis in this heat and humidity, but do we need to extend the rallies by having heavier balls when you keep them in your soaked skirt?" She was right! I used to have to change outfits if we had a third set. Sad but true!

Can you sense how happy I was once we left Singapore? I miss the food and good friends there but the weather was NOT my friend

Well, I hope to get to 20 again sometimes soon. The calves and shins are ok. But holding myself upright after a climbing session is difficult. I do not want a muscly neck, ick.

Been having pain in my hip for a little while. This morning the doc confirmed my fear: hip impingement. Will get an MRI to confirm, and inform treatment.
Confirmed cam impingement. My next appointment will focus on clarifying my surgical options. Jogging and biking is off for the season.

Sorry to hear that, hang in there! How bad your hip pain was that led you visiting a doctor?

On a brighter note, I know a person well into her 60s that had a hip replacement, after 3 weeks she was able to cycle for short sessions again. Recovery/physio is the key and should be taken seriously.

One day I felt a sharp pain and I thought it was a pulled muscle from the previous day's run. I took a few days off, and as it was still rather tender I went to the doc. She treated it as a pulled muscle, and gave me a few laser sessions. It didn't do anything, and I waited a few weeks. Pain is very moderate, a 3 or 4 at worst.

I am really sorry to hear this...I hope your recovery goes fast!
Are you allowed to swim? That would be an option to keep you active...

I don't know, I'll wait to hear back from the hospital now. I didn't ask many questions from my Hausarzt, as it's not her specialty. Let's see.
