Rowing in Luzern

Hi,

I will soon move to Luzern and I would like to start rowing again. It seems that there are two clubs, one rowing on the lake, the other on the Rotsee. Have you experience at one of these clubs? Which one is more fun? I've been rowing since I was 14, and I would like to row with people of my age (around 30) and similar rowing skills. I do both sculling and sweep, and I like all type of boats

I'm not a rower but I do know it is only possible to row on the Rotsee from May to October, as it's a nature reserve. So the Rotsee club doesn't offer year round outdoor rowing.

Why not simply contact them?
Consider paying a visit or three.

Your application won't mean it's a done deal at all, they will want to get an idea of whom they accept in.

I will do that of course, but I was wondering if anyone here has some experience

That is ok... I do crosscountry in winter and since I work 100%, it is too dark after work anyway for rowing in winter.
