| | Searching Wellness Hotel
can anyone recommend some good Wellness Hotel (for a long weekend) for 2 friends? Should be in CH and not farther than 2hr car drive from Zurich.
We would like to have a few massages, but also enjoy a nice spa area with relaxation room etc. And of course with good food |

If you want to splurge, there isn't anything better than Burgenstock outside Luzern: https://www.buergenstock.ch/en
Was just here last weekend, also a nice place & better on the wallet: https://www.panoramaresort.ch/en |

This spa just outside Bern city is just perfect. Every handrail, every step, each water-jet... as I recall it, everything is perfectly crafted and positioned. That, in itself, is relaxing. https://www.solbad-schoenbuehl.ch/
It doesn't have its own hotel, but recommends some, here: https://www.solbad-schoenbuehl.ch/partner.asp
It is located here: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Zuri...47.0220631!3e0
Enjoy!

I used to love the Panaroma, and there's also a couple of wellness hotels in Weggis which were great.
And then I discovered this, which is my absolutely all time favourite: https://www.hotel-stoos.ch/en/
Taking the train or cable car up and back all adds to the experience as well!

If budget isn't a big concern it has to be Bad Ragaz https://www.resortragaz.ch/en/ |

Leukerbad - fabulous views and several spas to choose from. Hôtel Bristol is really nice and has its own, but a bit pricey.

thanks everyone
Stoos isnt free anymore, and we do have a bit of a budget so the luxury ones (unfortuntately) are not an option.
Google isnt really helpful so I m glad for any recommendations.
We would like to go a bit further than Feusisberg as otherwise we feel like we could just go right back home again |

If you allow 250km one way from ZH you could go to Aquadome in Austria.

Budget + wellness hotel with massage services and good food presumably onsite + weekend booking (peak demand) + Switzerland = an interesting equation.
Maybe check out https://www.booking.com/ so that you can get the options available at whatever your price point is and/or consider options over the border?

Exactly, with most spas, be it at Leukerbad (esay from Zurich) or Ovronnaz, Saillon, Lavey, etc- you do not need to book into the Hôtel on site- but get any accom in cheaper Hôtel, B&B, AirbnB- and then use the spa separately.

There is a nice thermal bad and hotel on Lake Lucerne -- Rigi Kaltbad Mineralbad & Spa. Not sure when you were planning on going, but it looks like this Saturday, they're offering something called "Candlelight night bathing "Fire & Flames 2" for 60 CHF per person (and there is also a hotel there). https://www.mineralbad-rigikaltbad.ch/ https://www.mineralbad-rigikaltbad.ch/gutzuwissen.asp
For the "Fire & Flames" evening, it says "Including "Happy Hour" with Prosecco and small bits in the bath, salt rubbings in steam bath, relaxing with herbal infusions in the sauna, tea and fresh spring water."

It's 2.5 hours to drive but I loved Hotel Lenkerhof. The spa area is gorgeous, the breakfast buffet (before corona, may want to check how they do it now) was brilliant and the area is beautiful if you fancy being a bit more active.
Closer to home you have the Seerose on Hallwilersee, their spa is Thai themed.
Alternatively the Hotel Gerbi/Alexander in Weggis near Lucerne.
Lower priced than the others: Hotel Rigi Kaltbad
You did mention budget restraints though, unfortunately, as soon as you start having spa treatments included, that will add at least 100 francs per person and treatment to the price. I usually opt for packages, it's easier that way but in Switzerland, a two night stay with meals and a few spa treatments is going to be in the range of 600 to 700 francs per person.

Quite some of the newer ski hotels have nice spas and for them is it still off season, so you might find deals. Two examples I personally loved: https://www.hotel-aspen.ch/en (not so budget friendly but truly great) https://alte-gasse.ch/en/home-en/ (The "Onya" part of the linked hotels. Nice as well, spa with lovely views, but not quite as complete as the Aspen)1

wow great, thanks for the recommendations! also via PN
with budget restrictions I didnt mean like cheap cheap, we are willing to pay Swiss prices, but not over the top Swiss prices for the luxury hotels etc.
We will check out some of those suggestions and hopefully find something that suits us.

It was an absolute treat for the price we paid. I can highly recommend and it is an easy easy drive from Zurich. The spa is fantastic as well.
As for Leukerbad, we had a really bad experience there is July and I will never ever go back there again.
