Re: St Moritz, Zermatt, continue the list...

Not the widest of slopes but if you're looking for a half a day of skiing that's convenient to get to and reasonable in price, Neusell in Rothenthurm can't be beat.

Grindelwald. Gstaad. Saas... Nobody said Flims-LAAX yet? One of the best...
Flims-LAAX. My not so scientific criteria for looking for resorts with long slopes, i.e., piste km/no. of lifts, makes them one of the top resorts. But indeed, there are some really good long wide runs. I hated it the first time I went there as I spent a lot of time traversing, but once I figured out a plan, there is very little time spent on ski lifts vs time on the slopes itself. Views not so amazing unless you are at the top of the glacier itself. I rate it above Davos (too many separate locations) and Lenzerheide/Arosa (slopes not as long).

Exactly! Itís an absolute pain if you are a group and try to meet up at a specific place as it is so easy to miss one traverse and end up somewhere else... but therefore is it excellent to ski on your own and spend a day just going on and on. It took me some time to like it, but now itís one of my favorites. The views im Wallis might be better but itís surely on par with davos

Adelboden was the worst for this. We went with a mixed ability group- and meeting up was a nightmare- and the skiing is a very long flat chair away. Never again.

Interesting that Arosa and Lenzerheide did not make these lists?
