Where top buy Rottefella (NN, 3-pin) cross country skiing shoes in Switzerland? Is there any way to get this kind of shoes in Switzerlnd (local shop or delivery)? https://www.englishforum.ch/picture....pictureid=8126 My old cross country skiing shoes had finally given up and is now allowing my sole to breath a little too much. It is the original Rottefella system (also called NN, or Nordic Norm, or 3-pin, or "mouse trap"), and it can't be found for sale new anywhere in Switzerland (I may be searching wrong or failing with proper local naming - help here would be appreciated). Plenty matching shoes are available in Germany, Sweden and basically any other EU country, but not here, apparently. Even though Intersport and Decatlon do not have them in CH, they are selling them in DE and refusing to deliver here from Germany. :( Is there any better online shop, which may deliver such shoes to Switzerland? I don't really want to change the boots, the bindings and consequently drill new holes in my favourite skies. |
Re: Where top buy Rottefella (NN, 3-pin) cross country skiing shoes in Switzerland? Also seems to be known as "75mm" - Sport Conrad have a couple of pairs. (I'm not a langlauf expert, but I spend far too much time browsing skiing equipment!) |
Re: Where top buy Rottefella (NN, 3-pin) cross country skiing shoes in Switzerland? Yeah it looks the the old 75mm system used for telemarking.... never seen anyone use it for cross-country though. As said, Sport Conrad have a couple and they are good https://www.sport-conrad.com/en/cros...s/backcountry/ ..... I think you should change to NNN/Prolink though if buying new boots. |
Re: Where top buy Rottefella (NN, 3-pin) cross country skiing shoes in Switzerland? Yes, another dedicated one here. Still very much attached to my 3 pin, 75mm, x-country skis, boots, bindings. I gave up a few years ago ever finding them in CH. I bought my latest online from backcountry in USA, https://www.backcountry.com/ because they had the best selection and I was also purchasing light touring boots at same time, also 75mm. Since then I've visited Sweden and noticed a Finnish company as well as some others still make them. I think you'll have to order online though. Best to look for Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian online shops as they have more the backcountry ski culture in Europe. Otherwise the one I mentioned above, shipping time from USA was very quick as I recall. Edited to add--the two boots listed in the above post are what I'd call light touring boots, probably overkill and too stiff/heavy for pure x-country in my view, if that is your principal use. |
Re: Where top buy Rottefella (NN, 3-pin) cross country skiing shoes in Switzerland? Island Monkey, newtoswitz thank you for the replies. The NN75 is what i was looking for! In Sport Conrad the models look very uncomfortable (or better say "are not fit") for cross country skiing. I would prefer something without any hard plastic on the exterior (not to be picky, just for comfort). With your help I now found manufacturers in CZ, UK (or China - not sure about the Decathlon's Inovik origin) and RU (Botas, Innovik and Spine), who still offers these shoes new. Will push them to sell me something. Rotefella (NN75) standard was very widespread in the North America and Europe for many years and is still appreciated in some places. |

Anyhow, the ones I bought were Whitewoods, but don't seem to find them easily. With a bit of googling, found this site that might have something suitable. https://en.aventurenordique.com/back...l?normefix=898 |
