I'm looking for some people to bike with.
I'm open to all distances.
I plan to ride some of the great mnt passes throughout europe this summer and want to up my training so these passes are fun.

I'd prefer to start the rides in (or around) Zurich.

My normal rides are about 2hrs right now

I've been checking all the bike shops, meetup and talking to other friends but I have not been able to find any group rides.

Velo- und Motoclub Wiedikon has a Facebook page which will provide further info. If my memory serves me correctly, they meet for monthly rides on Sundays, starting at Idaplatz.

I am a biker myself and I admit it is not easy but not impossible. Check the Facebook page from rennvelo.ch and rennradfahren schweiz...many people look for people to ride with. Also here is an event you can start with: Los Jamberes - Social Ride Zurich

Many Bike shops have meetups during the week...I know a few but not in Zurich...

Check out the Veloton group on Strava. They are largely expats and have regular rides on Wednesday and Sunday. Usually broken up into an fast and slow group. Really great crew.

Also a good group, but their rides start in Zug. Veloton rides start usually near Sihlcity or Triemli.

regarding the Shops --- I ask every shop I "walk" by and I've found 1 that offers a weekday ride, that I plan to do this week. But no others seem to offer anything like that in Zurich....... However, I will continue to check everytime I come across another shop.
