Hi,

I have decided to do the half Marathon in October and think it's wise to invest in a new pair of trainers. I went into Oschner sport on Pilatus strasse today and was shocked to see the cheapest pair of asics were 170 SFR.

Is there somewhere else i can find quality running trainers at a better price, or maybe somewhere online ?

Do not skimp on your shoes and wear them in before the event. There is an Adidas outlet shop near Zug which had some good deals, sorry can not remember exactly the address.

There's a sports outlet near Zurich (Sport Fabrik, Volketswil) if you know what your looking for and can be bothered with the trek over here.
Trainers is definitely the one thing i buy from elsewhere If i get the chance.
Otherwise there's also a specialist running shop on the outskirts of Zug that seems to offer sound advise. I forget the details but should come up on a google effort.

From memory, there maybe a place at Zurich Airport (Public side) which has discounted shoes.

Standard answer from me, but Athleticum has a store in Emmenbrueke.

Looks like they have my Asics of choice, the GTxxxx, out for a good price at the moment as these can be over CHF200 in some stores. I've paid CHF165 in Australian discount stores for the current years model in the past.
