Hello All,
I am new to Switzerland, may I know which channel (or streaming) to see Rugby World Cup live?

Re: Rugby World Cup

ITV, TF1 for sure. There's probably more options, but these are enough for me

Re: Rugby World Cup

ITV have the rights - available on many swiss providers such as yallo.
Sky will probably have it
Lots of streams - just have a good ad blocker and malware protection.

Re: Rugby World Cup

Any ideas on the Owen Farrell case? Is it corruption? Is the RFU still run by the types who are Lords members?

Its a shockingly bad decision. Don't think it was corruption, just extreme incompetence.

Re: Rugby World Cup

"The independent Judicial Committee consisting of Adam Casselden SC – Chair, John Langford and David Croft, all from Australia, heard the case, considering all the available evidence and submissions from the player and his representative.
The player acknowledged that whilst he had committed an act of foul play, he denied that the act was worthy of a red card. After reviewing all the evidence, questioning the player in detail and hearing submissions from the player’s representative, the Committee concluded that the Foul Play Review Officer was wrong, on the balance of probabilities, to upgrade the yellow card issued to the player to a red card."

This is what made me think it must be corruption. England are not good at the moment. Without Farrell they will be worse. The financial implications for the tournament are considerable.

Erm are you suggesting that a Senior Aussie barrister and two ex-Wallabies took bribes?

We won't see Sexton until the world cup starts, pity he hasn't had a red card overturned as well.

I think Sexton was very lucky to only get a 3 game ban. I'm a Leinster & Ireland fan which normally informs a degree of bias but he was a complete dope mouthing off to the ref and assistants after Leinster blew a 17 point lead at home.

Aussies let Farrell off the hook as they know England will be worse with Farrell playing.

Joking aside its a bad decision.

I would not be surprised. Aussies, lawyer, bribes, sounds right.
The decision was so so bad. The mitigating circumstances quoted are laughable. He has a prior history - a six match ban would have been more appropriate.

Eh? I am too dumb to realise what the problem is. If you are an Aussie, you should have a sense of humour. If you are a lawyer you probably don't. If you are involved in professional sport you will be aware of the levels of corruption, especially around sports betting. Rugby likes to think it is above such things and it may be relatively clean, but that is relative.

Does anyone have any tickets for sale?
Particularly interested in Scotland and All Blacks games.
I heard there are tickets for the England games going cheaply.

I am not sure I want the All Blacks to win, if it means National win the general election. Is the England team going to be the final nail in the coffin for the Tories?
