| | Ski resorts near Zurich with a carpet lift
Hi
Apart from Flumserberg, are there any resorts near to Zurich with a beginners' slope accessed with a carpet lift for children?
The resort websites don't always explicitly state whether the lifts for the beginners' slopes are carpet or drag.
Thanks

There's one behind the cablecar station at Laax Murschetg, and there's also one at the bottom of Jakobshorn in Davos.

Brunni at Engelberg has a magic carpet in the kids area. Klostmatte has a beginners tow lift with a round thing that you stick between your legs that can't get caught up on clothing. They have a short magic carpet too.
The other side of the mountain Titlis has a pony lift (half t-bar) and a t-bar in the beginners area at the first station.
I don't believe Rigi has a magic carpet, just t-bars.

its been a while, 4 years or so i have been at rigi. might have changed since...but the t-bar one is easy, as its pretty slow and not steep.

My wife's taking our four-year old who's just starting out and a carpet lift makes it easy for him - and her. She can go up on the lift with him - without skis.
(My wife's quite a bit pregnant and I would help but I know little about skiing).

There is a really nice man at Engelberg that slows the lift down and helps the very little ones learn how to catch it.

I think I recall there being one in Lenzerheide.
Braunwald offers free skiing for kids. Not 100% sure wheter they have a carpet or no though.

Tom I'd seriously advise that you enroll your little one in ski classes- by the time snow comes, your wife will be even more pregnant - and it is not safe to control a little one on snow on slippery skis even on nursery slopes, even if she holds him on reins. Apologies for given unrequested advice, but it would be much much safer for both of them.

(And my wife has been pregnant once more since then as well).
But thanks, anyway. | This user would like to thank Tom1234 for this useful post:

My son has a lot more finesse and speed than me but it's me who has to dig him out of the drifts when he misjudges something. | This user would like to thank Tom1234 for this useful post:

Sattel Hoch Stuckli is the ski area about 40 minute drive from Zurich. its small small small ski area, cable car up to bottom of mt and they have small carpet for kids there. very family mt. even has a play ground area which is fun if snow is not covering it. rest of mt is serviced by rope tow.
