Re: Online ski/outdoor shops

Switzerland really hasn't embraced online shopping like other countries such as the UK. They don't even have their own Amazon. I tend to order from the UK or Germany.

Maybe it'll catch on in 10 years or so…. they are only just introducing contactless payment (credit cards only) & you still can't pay online with your debit card!!

Can anyone recommend any Swiss on-line outdoors and ski shops? I am used to shopping from various places in the UK for outdoor clothing and equipment, plus ski/mountaineering stuff, and would really appreciate any recommendations of good Swiss on-line shops.

Thanks,
GenevaSculler
I have used this shop for special outdoor gear
http://www.eiselinsport.ch

I don't have experience with the online part. But the shop is great however not cheap.

Once I ordered some bindings here http://www.sports-discount.net/fr/ after some emails I got my stuff. But not very smooth service.

Re: Online ski/outdoor shops

Hi Ski and outside fans

I hope this is a help ... http://www.sportfabrik.ch/de
its an outlet store in Volketswil ( nr Zurich ) with a large range of Ski's, boots, sticks, cloths, walking bits and and ....

Like all outlets, prices can vary, but there can be very good prices for last years models, and stock can be mixed, sometimes many different models or styles in your size, sometimes not so much.

Good searching

Re: Online ski/outdoor shops

I just ordered some goods from ekosport.ch

Assuming it was a Swiss company, I figured all costs were included, although now I notice it did say mwst not included, and it is a French company.

So I'm guessing I will get a mwst bill soon after they are shipped.

Any clue on how much this might be or any experience using this site/company?

Not (necessarily) Swiss, but:
pm-outdoors (really really good)
Engelhorn
Campz
Sport Conrad for skis.

Plus fees and charges.

Value-added tax is 8% on the billed amount. The fees and charges on top of that depend on the handling agent - and will not please you one bit.
