I'm in,
I lost 2 Kg but won them back again so I need the long distance ride

but only a bit later. from 11 or 12 to 3pm would be ok ?

I'm going to the Velobörse early and probably will take 2 bikes for sale there.

I think I have to be back before they close so I can pick the bikes back if they are not sold
11 or so suits me perfect to leave, but being back by three might be cutting it a little fine.

now for some inspiration ( jacek this is for the daredevil in you )

I guess the 11:10 train from Zurich HB will get you to Uster at about 11:25, we could meet at the train station then.

Check back here later for me to confirm. I've just been run over by a car, I need to check myself and my bike to make sure we are ok to ride tomorrow.

I reckon allow for about 4.5 hours ride time, plus a lunch break if we find somewhere nice to eat at Wagitalersee. We should be back around 5ish. I'm being quite comfortable with pace here, I have a stiff hip and don't feel like gutting myself today.

I'll be there. Don't wait for me if I'm late though, will be cycling from Oerlikon and my cell phone is missing so can't call if late.

Re: [Zürich] Road Rides on weekends Season 09

will it be more of a "fast touring" ride then ?

Should I put on my 700x25c wheels ?

Re: [Zürich] Road Rides on weekends Season 09

Am over from England for a couple of weeks, just off into town to pick up my roadie hire bike. Wondering if there are any group rides leaving from the Gstaad - Chateux D'Oex areas tomorrow or evenings during the next 2 weeks. Also happy to catch a train somewhere not too far away.

My usual Sunday is around 50-60miles though pretty flexible to do more/less. Would love some company.

Thanks!
Lysandra

Re: [Zürich] Road Rides on weekends Season 09

Hi, anyone for a ride this Friday and/or Sunday? Sorry, I can’t ride on Sat because of the additional reason that it might clash with a run.

Something like 2-3 hours non-life threatening pace is what I am hoping for, but as usual I am veeery flexible and can streeeetch myself

If nothing better comes up, we could simply do Zurichsee or go towards Uster/Greifensee/Zurioeberland or Albis without a rigid plan. How about Saturday afternoon, start point Bellevueplatz?

Re: [Zürich] Road Rides on weekends Season 09

So what rides did everyone do over the long weekend, let me start with mine. Friday i rode from home near Frauenfeld to Schleitheim SH to watch my son race in the EKS MTB Kids Cup which he won and is now the proud owner of the gelb trikot and then home again. Saturday was a quiet mtb ride around the local forests. Today my son and i rode through the Toggenburg then down to Liechtenstein for the Slowup (120kms). The Toggenburg is a nice ride for those who haven't done it and the slowup is a nice track for next year if anyone is interested in them.
Cheers

Chur to Albula Pass on Friday. Left Spring in the valley and kept going up till we got turned around by snow!

Gentle run with her indoors yesterday,

MTB Tour in Zuriboerland with her indoors this morning, and Road bike tour in Zurioberland by myself this evening.

Not a bad weekend.

You put in quite a distance over the weekend. Quite a bit more then me anyway.

I must admit it only took two big beers to shatter me this evening
