If you wanted to meet in Pfaffikon SZ tomorrow and attack it from there I would be game. The weather forecast is mixed, similar to today, which hasn't been too bad so far. (Cue huge rain shower!)
Forecast for tomorrow looks okay to me; I should be able to join you. What time do you prefer? I could leave zurich at 8, arrive in pfaffikon around 9:30, then we could go up sattelegg, down to willerzell, then north to egg and back over the hill to pfaffikon. i think it'd be about 25 mile circuit from pfaffikon. If you want to do a longer ride, I can take the train there and/or back and we can ride longer in that area (which I am beginning to know quite well). Anybody else? otherwise will get in touch with you this evening by PM to work out the details.

Definitely, I think you'll have a lot more fun on this one than what I dragged you up last week

I was thinking along the lines of:

Pfaffikon - Siebnen - Sattelegg - Willerzell - Euthal - Oberiberg - Ibergeregg - Schwyz - Sattel - Pfaffikon.

With a break for lunch somewhere along the way. Like I said I'm not sure of how strong I'll be, and I'll be riding those passes with a standard (unless my compact arives early tomorrow) so don't expect too much out of me. I feel like I need to give a bit of distance a try though.

Sounds good to me. I may turn off near the end of the route at Schindellegi and head back to Zurich. Let me know when you prefer to meet.

I'll get the train to Pfaffikon SZ and can get there about 10:10 or 10:40am. We can start from the train station at about that time.

I can either take the train and arrive at 10:12, or spin down. Either way i'll be there around 10:10.

Hey Southie,
Yes, we did it. The route was 85km with 1800m of climbing. It took us a bit shy of 4 hours riding time, but we did stop along the way for lunch too. The fitter guys could have done it quite a bit quicker if they weren't waiting for me at the top of every pass.

Here is the distance/altitude profile.

Now I've got legs made of Jelly.

Re: Bike Fluela Pass NOW if you can

Thanks Eire, the young bloke should be able to do that. We are going to do a 75km flat ride this arvo to see how he gets on, he had a bit of a high speed downhill front wheel washout last Monday, another smashed helmet and lots of meaty bits showing. Luckily his mothers a nurse and his dad works in a bike shop.
Cheers
