Re: Let hostilities resume. Man Utd v Leeds Utd. 3rd round FA Cup, Sunday 3rd January

Wow is all I can say............ this is far more interesting than football

Thank you Natasha for your kind words (I feel privileged! )

Beardsy I never meant to insult anyone and I have to admit I feel very targeted by you There are many people who post far more agressive insulting posts on this forum so please get out of this thread and go pick on them!

As Natasha has stated on the whole I am a polite person and if I had known that my comment was going to cause all this then I would not have posted it - actually on second thought I probably would as I felt my point was in context with the thread.

As Mike has said "Scum" is a generic term to describe man Utd and is used all over the UK. I was referring to the team as a whole and my point has been taken well and truly out of context. As far as the supporters, the players any individual etc I respect them as I respect anyone else.... it was just banter!

Mods if this continues please can we close this thread as it's just turning into a mud slinging match!

I really feel it is such a shame that a thread that started about two great teams and the amazing history between them has been derailed by an idiot who thinks that this thread is in someway insulting!

My mate Henry Redshaw reckons this is a brilliant thread and should remain open forever!

Now, with my Gills hat on, are there any followers of our local scum rivals about? I already have enough Spurs/Gooner scum banter with Brett

you can **** off right now. There cannot be a Boro supporter called Carlos. It's just not right..... glory supporter from Ravenelli/Juninho days?
Right so your real name is Boxman!?!

If I was a glory supporter, would I still be asking right now ? Hardly glory right now is it...

I'll have you know I was watching them play (my dad's got the season tickets) and bumped into the little lad and Emerson when they were chilling at the Tall Trees in Yarm. Needless to say, I was trolleyed and told him in my best Spanish () how well they'd played

In fairness, I'm adopted fan as my parents moved to the NE when we came back from abroad (although my dad's from Darlo')

No offence smoggies, but i have to say the Riverside is possibly the worst place I have been to watch the mighty Gooners. I saw Thierry Henry score his last goal for Arsenal in a turgid 1-1 draw, whilst sat in with the home supporters in secret.

I have never heard such overt, disgraceful racism as I did that day, and the stewards were joining in. They were real scum.

You were expecting to tonk us, I guess. We don't do tonking anymore at the Riverside.

Unless you're West Brom.

Carling Cup semi-finals have been postponed due to weather. We will have to wait 2 weeks to see whether the scum get knocked out of the other cup tourney.

Perfect! 2 more weeks of uninterrupted banter in this thread. A great introduction to the culture of soccer on this side of the pond. Any one of you ever arrested as a football hooligan?
