Re: Cycling - Training Rides in Switzerland
You could join a cycling club for a training. For routes there are special cycling maps available, TCS shops (Touring Club Schweiz) and good book shops sell them.
You also could get a thierd party insurance protecting you in case you run somebody over or damge a car. It is available at post offices and in TCS shops, cost is 6.50.- for 1 year (it is mandatory in switzerland) police never checks it, but in case there will be a 40.- fine.
Most important thing to know for cyclists from overseas, if it is at T-intersections not clear indicated, right has the right of way. So there is no common sense of having the right of way driving straightforward.
