| | Bouldering in Ticino
Hi all,
Just figured I'd toss out an open invitation to all the climbers out there.
I'm about to kick-off the out-door season with a weekend of bouldering in Chironico. I'm no 8a on-sight climber, but working on it.
Let me know if you'd be interested - the more the merrier!
Edit: No dates set yet. Open to suggestions. And I'm getting a pad.

I'm not a boulderer but I just moved here last August and brought all my trad gear (cams, nuts, rope, etc) with me.

Not exactly "close", but the closest. I personally go there every week, so chances are pretty big you'll run into me there.

Considering the equipment needed for the two there's not much of a choice in my book. And it's more social... |

Hi, I was excited to see your post. I'm also a climber (mostly bouldering because of the convenience) and I would love to get to do some climbing outside. I've been here almost 6 months now but I've only been climbing indoors so far. I brought my crashpad and trad gear with me too and I'd love to meet up!

It sounds like there may be enough interest to get at least a few people to go. I thought I would throw this out there to try to keep the ball rolling. If you haven't used doodle.com before it's a nice way to schedule an event, here is the link for a few possible dates in the upcoming month: http://www.doodle.com/n2aua65sx4yznfud
Thanks for getting this started snowflaker!

Got my own gear, rope etc . . | | | | | Nor am I. But that's the good part of bouldering. Just walk a bit further and you'll find something in your range and the tired people can spot you as rest for their next adventures.

For anyone interested and haven't replied here...
The dates are set now - 13th and 14th of march (i.e. pretty soon) a few of us are going to be in Chironico.
Personally I'll arrive on friday evening so feel free to meet up then.

Hello all,
I'm not sure I will be able to make next weekend but I am a climber and do like to get out a lot and can do weekdays and weekends. Mostly climbing trad up to E2, thats about f6b+ for the non Brits. Also like ice climbing if anyone is keen.
Drop me a message if you want to get out.

Trip update:
It was just a brilliant outing, weather was superb, too many boulders to choose from (ok, there really was something in my range too ). I won't describe it as very hard-core trip, we were mostly just enjoying without worrying about grades etc. A great start for what was the first ever (to the best of my knowledge) English forum climbing event that was offered for everyone. Thanks Snowflaker for starting, and geinitz for coming along and making it more fun.
Others: You can turn on the speakers watch the video* and feel jealous, or join us next time and feature in the video and feel smug *Sorry, as of now this has to be downloaded and viewed using real player; I will upload it on internet later, when I figure out how to.
