Please someone should open a private BALLET class for kids in Basel!

I am look for a private ballet class for my daughter(5yrs old)..I do not think there is any in Basel Stadt. Or is there? Right now we cannot afford the public one. Some one in this profession should do this. Maybe in some english meeting centers in Basel Stadt. Thanks.

i think if someone with some good skills/talents who want to earn extra money could open private classes for specialized areas like DRAWING, the one mentioned above it, and etc will be nice ...i am sure a lot of us parents will be glad!

There's a ballet course at Gymboree.

Also an acrobatic/gymnastic place in Basel: http://www.acroballet.ch/

Huh? "Speciliazed areas like drawing"...

What exactly do you mean? There's plenty of art classes and stuff for kids if you know where to look.

There definitely are private ballet classes in Basel. I doubt very much whether the cost would vary significantly from public classes (whatever they are).

Unfortunately, while I know of them, I can't point you in any specific direction.

This made me wonder too. If you cannot afford a "public" one, what makes anyone think a private one would be cheaper? That is not how market forces usually operate...

That said, acroballet (link above) is cheap.

For some options, have a look here:

or here a link to the ballett teachers association:

Good luck

I think the private place would not be much cheaper. Ballet is good start up for another sports as well. I did it too, started when I was 4, but then changed to gymnatics. I saw the kids exercising in acroballet, it is a lovely place.
But there are couple of places where you might ask, like Gymnastikstudio, etc, I saw one also in Bachlettenstrasse.

Re: Please someone should open a private BALLET class for kids in Basel!

thanks for all your reponses! lest i forget also for the negative reputation given to me. By Drawing i meant fine arts for kids. And by private lessons i meant a class held by someone maybe once a week for group of kids. It sorry i did not make myself clear at first.

Well since some of you said public is cheaper...which public..Music Academic or where else...some of those places mention are costly to me. Any way i was able to see a private musikkurs for kids once a week...to me it is affordable. But I am still searching for ballet for once a week!

At Gymboree Basel there is a Ballet class once a week on wednesday afternoons
http://www.gymboreedach.com/en/location-basel.html
As for enrollments until the end of September they are offering a special, which is:
for booking one of the classes, you and your child can take another one for free (there is "specialized" MUSIC and ART classes.)

There are defonately ballet classes in the Gundeling area. I cannot remember the exact address; but I used to care for a little girl who went to one on the street behinde the bahnhoff.

Try going through the ISB they can connect you to loads of extra ciricular courses..and not just dance!

Re: Please someone should open a private BALLET class for kids in Basel!

Hi!

I googled quickly on a dance studio close to where I live and got this up:
http://www.tanzbuero-basel.ch/locati...5757B8287.html

There seem to be some children ballet classes there as well (page 4 in the pdf), as well as other dance classes for children - have no clue on prices though. All contact details seems to be in the pdf.

Good luck!
