Tennis beginner looks for tennis partner [Zürich]

Hi all,

I recently took beginners tennis lessons and quite enjoyed it!
I would like to practise on a regular level. Therefore I'm looking for tennispartner who wants to play with me. I'm a truly beginner and no match-challenge.

Are you interested? Or do you have any idea where I can find another beginner?

Thanks and best regards
JennS

Re: Tennis beginner looks for tennis partner

If you do not get replies on the EF or any other social networks in Switzerland, one of the advises that I often give to the people new to the Swiss tennis is to contact your local club. It's a bit too late now as the season is nearly over and the clubs will welcome new applications before May next year only. You can find some more details how it all works here: http://www.englishforum.ch/sports-fi...ss-tennis.html You will find both kinds of people there, those who play competitive tennis throughout the season and also those who are recreational members just to hit once or twice a week for fun. I believe you belong to the latter group and just want to find few likeminded partners for regular session to improve your game.

If you already know where you would like to regularly play close to your location, good idea is to contact the local sport-centre with indoor tennis court. You might ask there at the reception desk where you could leave your contact details to find partner on the same level. You will be surprised there are many folks is similar shoes. Good luck!

Where did you take beginners lessons? Was it in a group or private lessons?

Hi Jenn I'm also a beginner with only 5 lessons' worth of experience! My husband and I used to just hit the ball around but we've not done it in months and I can't get him to start it up again so if you're interested so am I. Whereabouts do you live?

I am tempted to suggest that Andy Murray could do with some practice. Based on yesterday's performance you shouldn't have too much problem, even as a beginner
