Re: Indoor wall climbing, around Zürich

Hi, I like to go climbing occasionally, I've been to Milandia a few times and the climbing there is excellent.

I can belay and after a couple of sessions practice am usually around a 6a (whichever system it is that has that grading)

Would be happy to find someone/s to go with once a fortnight or so.

Stephen

Re: Indoor wall climbing, around Zürich

The only problem with Milandia/Schlieren for a student like me is the price, it's hard to justify it. Otherwise I would've offered to join you guys.

Or what the heck, I'm game for Schlieren, Saturday maybe?

I have a rope and that stuff. Last time I went I climbed 5b/c without much trouble, but didn't try anything harder.

Re: Indoor wall climbing, around Zürich

Sounds good happy to go whenever sat could work. Dont have a rope just shoes harness and belay device. not sure what difficulty went up to oz 22 not sure what that is in zee french.

Tis rather expensive hey, there is a bouldering only place by the lake which is only 12 if you are under 28 and 14 over. Might check that out some time.

Re: Indoor wall climbing, around Zürich

This Saturday sounds OK, if anybody wants to go then drop me a PM and we can arrange something. Would prefer rope climbing but bouldering is fun too.

Stephen.

Re: Indoor wall climbing, around Zürich

I'm game. I have a rope with me. How many will be going? Who has a rope?

Douganator, yes, I've been there, it's called Minimum Bouldering. Quite small and cozy, most routes a bit on the harder side (for me at least). It's quite far away for me though so I haven't really gone that often.

Re: Indoor wall climbing, around Zürich

Saturday at 2pm sounds good, I'll be coming by car from Madetswil if anyone needs a lift. I have a spare harness as well if somebody needs one.

They also have a dangly thing on a 4b - 5b wall so you can climb without a belay partner.

Okay, okay, nice. I will bring a friend or even two so if you have a spare harness that might be useful. I guess I'll see you Saturday.

Re: Indoor wall climbing, around Zürich

I had a nice day climbing on Saturday, but being out of practice my arms don't work properly now!

Anyhow, looking forward to going again. I'll be happy to go bouldering in Schleiren next time, or somewhere else.

Let me know when you're up for it.

Stephen

Re: Indoor wall climbing, around Zürich

Yes Saturday was very nice, hopefully your arms will recover soon!

I'm up for pretty much anything next time, I guess Schlieren or Milandia are the most straightforward places?

Se should maybe make this a biweekly thing? If we get it into a routine we might attract other EF members?

So, Saturday 3. December?
