Nice comeback, we'd probably all just end up in a bar anyway winging and borrowing equipment off the enemy.

Cariad,
You're downright tiresome. Either debate intelligently and admit when you are proven wrong (as per the historical question) or go play elsewhere.
Initially I found the groans quite entertaining, now they're just inappropriate.
This is a democracy.. people are entitled to have a different opinion than yours.
I happen to consider all peaceful options as the only possible option. It's my right to have that opinion and to state it if I wish to without having to feel disturbed by others (in this case you)

Distributing groans to anyone just for fun isn't going to win any terms of endearment.

Fabulous!
Must say your 'threats' sound quite unpleasant Aussieland - are you planning to go on the pillage and rampage if you don't get your way. In which case, you just proved the point.

Less potential for mass murder, as well - don't remember many multiple school killings being done with a knife | | | | | Check out the number of people killed by samurai swords in the UK which now has one of the highest violent knife crime rates in the 1st world. Including some horrific mass killings, one in a church.

Actually I have admitted I have been corrected on the history point, well sort of, but definitely not by you. While we're at it don't dare to tell me what to do i.e. 'debate intelligently' etc. Since when have you made a sensible point on this thread. All I can see is prim and patronising drivel.
'This is a democracy.. people are entitled to have a different opinion than yours'
Where in any of my posts have I said or implied anything otherwise? I'm sorry that I think that this inititive is extremely bad for switzerland, I truly am. Not because I feel sorry for you or any other Yes voter, bit sorry for this fair land. I'm not sorry that this 'disturbs' you. It sounds like you need to be disturbed out of your complacency a little more often, and yes, voting yes IS complacency because you have not thought the issue through.

| | Re: Swiss Firearms Vote Feb 13, 2011 Well, I think it is pretty cool that so many people who may or may not even be able to vote on an issue are so riled up about it. In the two countries that I have lived in and been eligible to vote in about something like this, the government would have decided what was best for their image during the next election and passed said law swiftly without so much as a fart of a debate or forethought about the long term implications. | The following 3 users would like to thank colinwheeler for this useful post: | |

Have fun when yes has been voted... will give it a couple of years and you will see where it ends up... lol | | | | | Opinion polls show 47% YES and 45% NO and 8% UNdecided. If the undecided split in half it will be a narrow YES, if they however mostly turn to NO it will be a 55% NO. So that it can become a narrow matter.
Nice would be if the undecided stayed undecided which would result in a narrow YES |
