This is NOT a forum for Swiss people to get together to speak (write?) in English; it is a forum for English-speaking people living in Switzerland to discuss Swiss-related issues. Or not.

Look, sorry for saying America is a commanding power, seriously. | | | | | Do you serve tea at your parties?

Don't tell me you're one of those woolly liberals who calls Indians "native Americans" and believes in emancipation for negroes?
You disappoint me. |

You sound a bit Canadian to me. | | | | | I would have thought that all my conservatism would have given away the American in me. But secession can also point toward the people of Quebec as well, I suppose. Also, perhaps y'all didn't notice that the background of my avatar is a Texas flag.

| | Re: Swiss Euroskepticism | Quote: | | | | | I was trying to be sarcastic about the gross miscalculation, but apparently it was a correct assessment. | | | | | Sorry. I'm not used to Americans "doing" sarcasm - or irony for that matter - I've only witnessed it happening successfully once or twice in my life. Your comment was quite correct about you making a gross miscalculation though. HTH

You've already said you are in favour of "civil disobedience". That puts you in the same box as Martin Luther King and Gandhi in my book.
I bet you don't believe in proper law and order and the authority of a rightful monarch ordained by God, either, do you?
You're practically a communist, as far as I can see.

Read a history book. American was founded on civil disobedience. Also, y'all have misquoted me for the 20th time now. I did not say I "favor civil disobedience". I said I am not entirely opposed to it.
