The title says it all - the city decided that the traffic wardens need to get a uniform to be taken more seriously by the publîc. I think that's so far a reasonable idea. The less reasonable part is that the uniform package each will get consists of 37(!) pieces of clothing for various weather conditions and will cost around 2000 CHF each!

I thought the opposite - it is the perfect example how a military trained Swiss would source an uniform. QUALITY! Obviously does this include socks and underwear for various weather conditions....

Offtopic but yesterday I drove through a Police control yesterday (didn't get stopped) but seriously it looked like Baywatch with guns, all young, keen, fit and goodlooking, have not seen an ugly or overwight rozzer since I have been here, what is with that? Nice uniforms too.
