So you would also say there was nothing in the sheep of a certain colour kicking other sheep of a different colour out? Just animal fun/violence?
Your straw man argument is tiresome.

But if you want to get impotently hysterical about the SVP once every 5 months, please be my guest.

Your side's got a donkey, the other side's got an elephant, you print posters showing the donkey kicking the elephant out of Washington or vice versa. Nobody understands you to be saying that you want to kick Republicans or that kicking people is OK or that elephants like to be kicked.
If people want to misinterpret they will.

Impotent - hysterical - your use of words here resemble the level of the cartoon, sadly. Must say I am sorely disappointed that you sink to that levdl of operation, I'd expected better.

It's hardly my problem if you see everything in sexual terms, is it?

Ok, let's not take the attention away from the campaign to some personal squabbles. Really.

Thanks for taking the time to reply MN.

Those mascots represent the people in the two different parties surely?
Er... no?

They wouldn't back home anyway. Mascots are collective identification: they represent the organization but not the individual. As evidence, you almost never see individual congressmen cartooned as donkeys and elephants, let alone the average voter.

I'm open to correction but it doesn't seem to be any different here. When was the last time somebody caricatured an actual SVP voter or even an individual SVP politician as a steinbock?

Maybe it's a cultural thing - do Swiss voters identify at a more personal level with their parties' mascots? i.e. do the CVPlers now see themselves as fighting cows, the SVP as steinbocks, rampant bulls etc? If so I'll agree it might be a bit close to the bone.

EDIT: I looked again at the poster. The bull at least is labelled with the name/logo of the political party, i.e. he is clearly "the SVP", not "an SVP voter/politician".

I think some of you have been in Switzerland for too long- another way to be Switzerlanded! If I ever feel this is happening to me, I'll be off again, lol.

dude stop putting words in my mouth, again

i never said anything about the svp

my post was directed at you and others rdiculing others for seeing the obvious **** into submission theme

if you cant take historical context of certain themes into consideration, fine, but dont ridicule others understandable interpretations

as for straw man, i provided a perfectly good analogy wrt your point; it is too common to claim 'straw man' rather than argue the point; more common than godwin's law

given that you get hysterical on this forum ever day, i'll take the 5 months as a compliment; happy to compare cows any day, to use your own language; i find the swiss ones more intelligent
