Re: Swiss National Anthem - Balkan Beats version...
We in Britain have what is arguably one of the most boring national anthems ever written and which furthermore sounds better when sung in German than sung in English, and it's not even about us as a people or about our country but its about the well-being of our head of state. In England we top that by not even having a national anthem of our own. And on the Last Night of the Proms we get patriotic about a song about a dirty, dusty town in the middle-East that we only ruled for about 20 years and that we never really did much with, but pretend is some sort of a paradise. But it's supposed to be that way. We don't write the name of our country on our stamps or coins either. National anthems with lots of swell and jinglistics and clever percussive effects as well as well-designed coins and stamps are for nations with some sort of an inferiority complex. We don't need that.
Any Swiss who thinks their national anthem is too boring has failed to understand that.

Well, that beautiful stamps and a nice national anthem are the result of an inferiority complex is a slightly depressing idea

I think you guys protest too much. Not being as rousing as "La Marseillaise" doesn't mean a song is boring:
