Not exactly my view but close enough; myself I do not see a viable two-tier currency system.

UK needs the Euro just to upset the daily moan readers, then again the UK would probably fail the financial entry requirements.

I can never see the Swiss becoming part of the Eurozone, the people are too proud and do you think they want to be 'dicktated' by the Germans or French.

I actually believe that if the UK doesn't get hit too badly with bad debts of those PIIGS, the GB£ could rise even against the Swiss Franc in about two years.
It will not go back up to 2.4 CHF but I would expect 1 £GB = CHF 1.8 by mid 2013.

Absolutey my favourite ! Switzerland could purchase Kreta. Various advantages :
- already some Swiss presence
- locals are used to be dominated by German speakers
- "freier Blick aufs Mittelmeer" would become reality
- Heraklion becoming the main base of the commercial naval fleet
- the two Ständeräte from Kreta and the Nationalräte from Kreta
would increase the "diversity" in Bern
- Kreta-Tourismus would become part of Swiss inbound-tourism

One scenario that I haven't heard discussed yet is the option of paying all the foreign workers here in Euros instead of CHFs. Heaven knows that the SNB has plenty of Euros that they blew Swiss Francs on over the past few years.

CH could take a two-tier way. Retain the CHF as "official" reserve currency but switch retail-trade, whole-sale trade, and industry to the Euro .

If CH joins the E.U then we will either have a mass immigration to CH or our salaries will be worthless. And no, Germany will not leave the E.U. They fought two wars trying to achieve what they have now, which is the largest most controlling voice in European politics. Do you think they would walk away from that? God forbid Switzerland joining the E.U.

In the end it really doesn't really matter what we think. We will all belong to one union or one government that rules the world. We're all ready half way there. Next up will be the Amero and the American Union.

- Yes, debate is very useful in a society that make conduct change through referendem.
2. Can anybody predict if Switzerland will ever join the EU or the Euro?
- Yes, of course I can and I can tell you as well that all my predictions are 100% accurate. Or course...there will be a little up front fee.

I for one don't like Euros, I mean WTF, all those coins, 5 cents, 2 cents, 1 cent, why not add 3 1/4 cents, 7 cents. Pretty stupid.
