A poor speaker can make informative and well-constructed slides look poor, and a great presenter can make an average set of slides seem fantastic.
I would go so far as to suggest that the former had the presentation made for them by a communications professional, who was unfamiliar with the material, but was experienced on how to display it effectively. Whereas the latter could possibly be a researcher, for example, who knows the material back to front and is enthusiastic about it, but doesn't really know the best way to put together a presentation.

If you have a better look at the webpage you'll soon notice that it is nothing but VERY BLOODY CLEVER marketing - since the guy who founded the party also wrot a book about the evilness of powerpoint and building a political party around it is his guarantee to get world-wide media coverage (as you've seen, already worked and the election pamphlets havent even been handed out...). An idiot though if you ask me as I have to agree, there is absolutely nothing wrong with ppt as such, it's the people who can't drive it that make it frustrating.
It's a bit like asking to ban all cars because some people don't indicate...

where I work, it doesn't matter who the presenter is, the audience always cut them off and ask questions about the slide....
Powerpoint is a scourge upon the Earth and shall be mercilessly slain like the evil beast that it is!

Anyone can become a party member by the way, regardless of nationality and the onl benefit appears to be that you can buy his anti-powerpoint book at a reduced rate |

The only aspect I am wondering about is what the purpose of the whole thing is.

Five minutes of fame?
Does he need a reason beyond that?
