Re: Swiss Footballer expelled from the olympics

To me, this clearly shows the general attitude of the Swiss not respecting authority and not fearing any consequences. If this would have happened in Switzerland, this guy wouldn't be expelled from anything. However, as this happened in a major international event, they had to be stern with him.

For a moment I thought you were refering to John Terry. Wasn't he accuitted of racial insult despite the fact that he called Anton Ferdinand a " black c*nt"? According to the news he denied that he used the words as an insult . Instead he was found guilty of too much abuse, because he used the word "c*nt" for 24 times and several other very unpolite expressions. To me this shows clearly the general attitude of the universe of global football.

You think Swiss people don't respect authority??? Thats very different to my experience when I have seen that Swiss would rather die than express any kind of counter-opinion to anybody and especially to the boss

Luckily for you he did play for Switzerland. As double citizen he could have played for Italy as well.

Not so long ago, there was another "twitter" in the Media, from the SVP. Clearly shows that "Twitter" is a heaven for primitive bastards not caring about how they look and not being aware of possible consequences. What you write about "wouldn't be expelled" would have been justified half a year ago but no longer.

You mean he copied bad manners which have risen to lousy levels in Italian football in recent years.

So what, nothing wrong with black c*nt...labeling a whole nation as "mongoloids" is a whole different story.

..and that's what I mean. You hardly hear any counter oponion of any sort. However, wrongful actions are readily comminted, as there are hardly any regulatory bodies to monitor faults and consequences seem all to unconcerning not to try to get away with something.

..how so? I couldn't care less. It's soccer...a leisure activity like visting a museum or checkers and not a real sport.

Returning to NA after 3 years, I have noticed that Twitter is the connection of choice/style at the moment where there is a general trend of people of leaving FB for twitter for their daily social internetting. In comparison twitter is not commonly used here and it shows that those who are using it, don't quite understand the ramification or the general unspoken rules on how to use it.

Not that I know the rules, or if there are any, but such 'mis-tweets' are well known of for quite sometime, and seasoned tweeters know what they tweet may provoke. It was a douche move on all levels.
