Is it suprising? seeing as most here technically are migrants, including you.

Depends what kind of immigration. I don't think many people support unrestricted, indescriminate immigration. You need to be more specific.
If you are Swiss as you claim, why are you looking for information in English? Also, you surely must have a better grasp of the political spectrum in your own country than most people in EF. Or are you just trolling for a fight?

But certainly you anticipated them, though, upon asking the members of an mostly expat internet forum to help you choose which political party was right for you?

I'd personally go for the LEGA, but that's because I live in the nice part of Switzerland.

I was born overseas but spent the first few years of my life in Switzerland. Around the age of 4 - 12 I was living in Germany, France and Belgium. After that I lived in India and then in Africa until I was 16yrs old which is when I returned to Europe. Lived in Poland, Lithuania, Czech Republic and Croatia until 2005. During this time I made dozens of trips into Switzerland where I would stay for weeks at a time with Swiss friends.

Then travelled and lived in Australia until beginning of 2012 which is when my family and I returned to Switzerland to settle!

I never really had to learn German/Swiss-German fluently and knew enough to "get by" ... but hopefully will be speaking, reading and writing fluently in not too long. .. ..

Does that explain a thing or two?

Yes, it seems you're happy for you to be a migrant but want to stop others?

How am I a migrant? I hold a Swiss passport, as do my Mother and Father! I may not have lived in Switzerland my whole life, or even a great part of it, but I intend to do so now (and I am not old or "over the hump" age-wise). My kids are also holders of Swiss passports. My wife is Australian, and as such is a migrant .. But how am I a migrant?
