I would still think that as spouse to a Swiss and parent to 3 Swiss kids, she should not be refused entry.
You should be ashamed of diluting both the Aussie and Swiss cultures.

I think I have expressed my views and beliefs quite succinctly and without being lowered to personally attacking posters (calling them "dense" etc ) - of course as the topic is addressed there are more details that come to light. But I would like YOU to clarify your view please. What in your view is and is not a migrant?
Yes you have. And although you profess not to be racist, just about every single post of yours serves to contradict this statement. I am also against mass immigration, but unlike you, I don't make a distinction from which culture or racial group immigration should be restricted.

Why? She would already have a proven record of diluting the Swissness of the Swiss.

It's hardly eugenic, now is it?

I am not attacking you by calling you dense, as you clearly are. Theres 5 pages here proving it.

If someone called me something that I actually was, then I would not be offended or feel attacked. It's ok to be dense, you probably excel in other areas, like licking windows or something ouch, sorry that was mean

World English Dictionary
migrant (ˈmaɪɡrənt)n 1. a person or animal that moves from one region, place, or country to another 2. an itinerant agricultural worker who travels from one district to another 3. chiefly ( Austral ) a. an immigrant, esp a recent one b. ( as modifier ): a migrant hostel adj 4. moving from one region, place, or country to another; migratory [C17: from Latin migrāre to change one's abode]
Well then by your definition people who move from Kanton Luzerne to Kanton Berne are migrants since they moved "from one region, place, or country to another"!! So where does that leave us?! :P

I have detailed who I am referring to as an immigrant or migrant .. pretty simple actually.

I also think it's fair to say that the immigrant population with which most Swiss have a problem comes from our giant industrial neighbour to the north. Diluting our country with their beer, sausages and expansive girths.

That's exactly the case. Ask any Swiss person and if they are not living where they are born, they will view themselves as migrants to the area where they are. This can be from one village to the next if there are cantonal boundaries... it's called their Heimatort.

The exception is usually where they pay money to change their Heimatort.

Isn't it somewhat hypocritical to complain about migrants coming to Switzerland when you have done exactly that in at least one other country?

Are you saying that fleeing a war is one of the reasons to turn down immigrants because it might be too much of a culture shock for them?
Life's a bitch, eh? Nothing better than kicking people when they are down.

Luckily Switzerland as a rule/nation is more generous to refugees...

I find nothing wrong with stating the obvious fact that some cultures and societies are starker in contrast to one another than others would be. What's racist about that?

I don't think that French, Italians, Germans and Austrians should be allowed to immigrate to Switzerland without restraint, but I also don't think they are as much a threat-of-dilution to Swiss culture and society as others are. Just as Pakistani people immigrating to India is quiet a different thing than Brazilians migrating to India! What's racist about that?

I'd also be wary of letting Austrians in. In 1892, a famous Austrian migrated to Germany and the rest is history.
yes, there is a pattern here

The Godwin chap = Austrian in Germany
Napoleon = Corsican in the Rest of Europe
Tony Blair = Scotsman in England
Maggie Thatcher = Grantham lassie in London
G. Dubya Bush = Maine-guy in Texas
Blocher = German in Switzerland
...
Whites in general = People who originally came out of Africa

Personally I blame the Africans. They are the root cause of all conflicts.

next thing you'll be suggesting it's ok for Palestinians to migrate to Israel, based on this logic....

No Densey, do you mind if I call you that? It kind of has a ring to it, makes me seem like I am being more affectionate towards you.

That was the English Dicitionary definition, and no, moving Kantons is not really a migrant and nor do I subscribe to that view. You spent you whole youth being a migrant, moving from one place to another, taking some local childs spot at school, enjoying other countries offerings, whatever, etc,

Did you really have three children?

But only the nice God's, from the nice countries, not the immigrant God'ss.

Like learning the local language well enough to understand the country's political literature, for example?
