No Densey, do you mind if I call you that? It kind of has a ring to it, makes me seem like I am being more affectionate towards you.

That was the English Dicitionary definition, and no, moving Kantons is not really a migrant and nor do I subscribe to that view. You spent you whole youth being a migrant, moving from one place to another, taking some local childs spot at school, enjoying other countries offerings, whatever, etc,

Did you really have three children?

But only the nice God's, from the nice countries, not the immigrant God'ss.
Well hey, I was just going by your definition! :P

Yes, three kids.

And for your information most of the countries I grew up in we were the ones garnering support for the "locals", and there were no "offerings" to be had in any of them - partly sue to most of them being very poor countries, and partly due to the fact that we (with visas etc) would not qualify for them anyhow!

Make sure you pick the right God(s) and he's on your side.

Re: Which Swiss Party is Right for me?

I'd definitely give the Swiss Democrats a look. The want that ''niggers stay on their own continent'' and they're for a ''white Zurich'' sounds like just what your looking for. I'm sure that quite a few of them are Neo-nazis won't be a turn off for you......

To the contrary in my case as I always sought to embrace the culture and social adherences of the country, or even part of the country, I was in.
Remember, the Swiss are very good at not creating parallel societies. For example, a Muslim woman wanted to keep her daughter out of swimming classes due to "religious reasons." The Swiss schools did not allow it. The mother took the case to the court but she lost and had to pay the fine as well, which was quite steep! I think Switzerland is one of the few European countries that have managed, thus far, to handle the various mixing of cultures quite well. They've done this by requiring them to "integrate."

Okay, not all manage to do so. But, the Swiss are currently working on a referendum to curb immigration even though it is not due to cultural conflicts. But to some degree I can agree with you and some others on this board. Nothing can be executed without some type of restriction. It's kind of like having guest in your home. Once they start to disrespect your home or disrespect the rules, its time for them to leave. For example, if you prefer that they not smoke "inside" your home but they do it anyways. Of course, we would not want to go as far as Greece. The group Golden Dawn are extremist. You can read about them here.

Ask any Swiss person and if they are not living where they are born, they will view themselves as migrants to the area where they are. This can be from one village to the next if there are cantonal boundaries... it's called their Heimatort.
No, it's not.

Heimatort is where your ancestors were living in 1848, or where they were Eingeburgert if they arrived later.

It generally is NOT where you were born.

Re: Which Swiss Party is Right for me?

People who dislike people who are different are bad, right?

People who like people who are different are good, right?

So good people like people who dislike people who are different.

And people who like fascists are themselves fascists.

So heads you win, tails you lose, we're all fascists.

Indeed - as OH had to adopt my 'Commune d'origine' when he became naturalised (his 3rd nationality so far) - we decided to visit it, as I had never ever been there, despite it being on all our official documents. Went to the Café and asked if some 'mymaidensurname' still lived there, and the waiter pointed to 3 of the 5 at the main table

OH picked up his first Swiss passport the other day - he speaks fluent French of course, and would not have to ask such daft questions as he made sure he understood about Swiss Government and all the parties first. Seems to make sense when you acquire the right to vote - duh
