Earth Overshoot Day

Interesting, according to then, Switzerland needs 4.2 "Switzerlands" to support itself in terms of natural resources it consumes!

Switzerland seems to be in a very bad position!

Re: Earth Overshoot Day

I disagree.

Switzerland merely say give us your gas if you want your cash.

Simples.

Re: Earth Overshoot Day

Switzerland was ranked 21st in the world though, and if all the Earth's population lived the way Swiss do, we would need 2.8 times Earth's resources, compared to 6x if everyone lived like people in Qatar!

Re: Earth Overshoot Day

Doesn't really say anything, since 2.5 Chinas is a heck of a lot more resource than a few extra Switzerlands.

It might take a 100 mes to support me. Resources well spent though.

I think Switzerland is a very well maintained country with regards to natural resources.

From what I have witnessed and experienced while here, I am actually surprised by Switzerland's "footprint!"

Re: Earth Overshoot Day

Me too, Swiss Miss. Shocked at how little they recycle and how complicated they make it for people.
In Ireland, all recyclables go into one bin, compost waste in another, and true rubbish in another. All plastics go to recycling, including food wrappers, etc. I cannot get over that its on PET plastics recycling here in CH!
