[Zurich] trams 7 and 9 and 10 and 14 blocked today [Tue 18th Feb]

Two men were beating each other early this morning at Milchbuck in Zürich and a 25 years old German attacked a 19 years old Swiss in a way that this man had to be brought to hospital immediately. Due to the ongoing police investigations at the Milchbuck tram stop the tramlines 7 9 10 14 were rerouted for many hours

More details to become known later

You are either the alte Fasnacht or the new Local. :-)

Up to now, no updates came out. Looks as if police is waiting for the 19years old becoming ready for answering questions.

Is it just me, or does this sound like a MASSIVE over reaction?

a 19yo bloke is beaten up at 4:30am. Public transport delayed for five hours or whatever.

If you leave nationalities out of this, this is of little interest.

Exactly my impression right from 07.15 . To block such a tram intersection for 6 hours (as it was) is heavily overdone. The authorities will now try to justify their extreme reaction.

It depends on how serious the injuries are, if the victim dies in hospital, it will be a murder charge and they need to collect evidence while it is fresh, so to speak.

I agree yes,

But not even a road fatality would justify shutting down everything down for 6 hours.

The fact remains - we don't know what has happened.
Perhaps later on there will be details released that do justify why they needed to do so.

Assault? this is honestly not a good enough reason in my opnion.
...but my 'opnion' is based soley on the information we currently have at hand.
Let's wait and see what develops in this situation.
