Sec. John Kerry gets velo help in Lausanne

Nice bike shop owner helps USA Sec. of State John Kerry when his rear bike mech was malfunctioning.

Re: Sec. John Kerry gets velo help in Lausanne

I read this, and the shop refused to charge him, but he gave them a $20. I like Kerry, seems like a nice person, but $20????

Well, Kerry can't drink on the job. Why does the Secret Service guy that he has with him carry a briefcase and what is in it?

I think it is a H&K MP5!

Re: Sec. John Kerry gets velo help in Lausanne

Yesterday he was getting a bit more exercise at the end of the day. He and his cycling buddies (read secret service detail) decided to cycle from Geneva to Lausanne along the lake road complete with about 10 police motorcycles to cover each of the intersections. Plus the 5 big black vans and Cadillac Escalades with the BE diplomatic plates.

That was our Friday afternoon excitement in Morges.

Re: Sec. John Kerry gets velo help in Lausanne

I've been stuck in dreadful traffic all week as thanks to him the Ouchy road is partly closed to cars (he's in the Beau Rivage palace), and all the traffic has to pass through town. Grrrr!

#2 son had to drive to Lausanne and back several times this past week, and his appointment times were all over the shop due to delays caused by this person.
I'm left wonder if he's totally selfish, oblivious to the fact that he's mucking normal folks about, or simply doesn't care?
Sadly I fear it's the second option (these types tend to live in a reality bubble), so who do we complain to?

Bloody ex-colonies.....

Nothing to do with selfish. He however is used to the fact that the Foreign Minister of the USA often causes inconvenience to normal People

Interesting is that he at age 12 went to school in Zug (Institut Montana Zugerberg) for a year (1954-55)

Are you mucking normal people when you are transferred from a Hospital dependence to the main building and back ? I back in 1988 on about 5 occasions saw how normal people were held back as the hospital-Transporters have the fullest possible right of way.

With repect Wollie;

You being moved from one place of healing to other is not in any way comparable to him being out for a jolly on his pushbike!!!!!!

Yes, he sure must have developed a love for Zuger Kirsch at the tender age of 12.

I was never that keen on Kerry, but he gave a remarkable speech after the agreement was announced, should have got a standing ovation.

He would win elections in Canada and all over Europe, but quite obviously not in the USA
