IKEA - more trusted than the church

I read today an article stating that a poll taken recently in Sweden mentioned that 80% of the Swedes polled trust more in IKEA than in the Swedish Church. Volvo, Ericsson, Saab and Aztra Seneca all follow IKEA in the trust factor before the Church - which finally makes it at 14th place.

Make your own conclusions

Re: IKEA - more trusted than the church

Sweden is simply not a god-fearing nation, I spent a couple of years there and quite frankly I like the fact that they trust IKEA more than they do the Chruch. Hell, I trust McDonalds more than the Church.

In Billy bookshelves we trust.

We have been waiting for a bed for the last 8 weeks, they keep giving us delivery dates and not keeping to them!! We will have to cancel the order, have had enough with Ikea! Apparently they have no central warehouse in Switzerland!

We are actually awaiting the second coming of our IKEA sofa. The first couldn't fit through our front door. Sofa salvation's just round the corner ...

Ordered online? We had the same experience. Bed finally came, delivery date was advised (no choice) on a date we were away, so advised them to deliver to my office. Arrived at 12 (although pm after 14:00 delivery was announced), so colleague with the cash (you cant pay by card) wasnt there. They refuse to leave bed and took it away. Etc etc etc. In the end brought bed back from IKEA myself as bro in law and new girlfriend were arriving that evening and felt a bit harsh to make them sleep on parquet... amused much of zurich since double mattress and double bed loaded on roof rack of a porsche (and not a cayenne). The shop manager at dietlikon was helpful, but it is clear their system is SNAFU.

Uh oh! I have just ordered some stuff online. I must say I was surprised that I was given no indication of a delivery date. I called their help number, but my German is not so good, so I hung up while trying to meander through the automatic menu thing. I received an e-mail a few minutes ago, but it does not mention a delivery date or time.

Can anyone point me to something written about delivery times on their web site?

Am I in time to cancel the order and go there myself and use Warentaxi.ch to get me back instead?

A frightening thought! I am rapidly losing any trust as I am now the proud owner of four wooden table legs -delivered by their 'Home Shopping 'outfit .As you can guess I actually wanted the table top as well but it has apparently disappeared .I have tried their call centre three times -very pleasant helpful all promise action but nothing happens and a letter to their HQ has met total silence .Has anyone got an e-mail address preferably with name so I can mount a war of attrition? Any help gratefully received .Hopeful hiker
