This year's WEF was on high ... at least for those who take care for public order

Quote from the article:
"The military police were called in to investigate one unit on Tuesday after suspicions of drug misuse..."
Is there a proper use for cannabis and cocaine when on duty?? |

So yesterday was a lovely sunny afternoon in Lenzerheide , from the balcony I could see a police contol diverting and checking every car going in Davos direction. Funny thing was trucks were waved straight through, even funnier they packed up and went home at 5.00! TIS or just practicing?

So basically they work 150%, have intermittent hot water, food sucks, have diarrhea and other diseases and don't even wanna be there.
And they speak about drug use because it's not safe to drive under the influence but as usual they overwork them which is equally if not more dangerous (everytime an accident happens they talk about that).
I think that for things like the WEF they should use professional security only or professional military. This bad publicity is not even convenient for them.

That’s great. Another reason to have ski slopes free of tourism |

Jacek
There will not be many Swiss ski slopes if there are not enough people to pay for the maintenance of the slopes.
Davos like most of the world will be hit by finance problems because of Covid.
1) Spengler Cup 26 to 31 December 2020 cancelled
2) WEF mid-late January 2021 cancelled
There are a lot of people in Davos who either take time off their usual job or get it off, to do other work in connection with one or both the above.
I suppose there might be a number of seasonal workers not required this season.
On the plus side might be an opportunity for others in Switzerland to visit Davos on those dates, as suppose there might be offers around.
Keep safe
