Re: Sweden or Switzerland?

Two countries, with similar names or some would say there's no difference between the two, are thinking that the grass is greener on the other side ...

The 'idea' originated in Sweden, which could account for their choice of Swedenland

Actually, they think the snow is whiter on the other side of the hill.

Re: Sweden or Switzerland?

Living in both countries, somewhat simultaneously but disproportional lengths of time, I can imagine a non-Swiss living in CH who feels it is difficult to find their "place" might find their situation less strained in Sweden. I cannot imagine someone who is happy in CH being more satisfied in Sweden, certainly not if one values the feeling of laws being enforced, being on the receiving end of efficient public services, and a general sense of respect for one's fellow human.

There is of course a huge difference between urban and rural Sweden, as there is in CH, but I believe there is a tendency for non-natives to be concentrated in the urban areas.

I remember being in a pub and being informed by management that they were sorry but they couldn't get the Hungaria - Bulgary game.

I remember one pub announcing that it was screening the Hungry - Czhess match. I was surprised when it turned out they were playing soccer and not chess.
