Patrouille Suisse noise complaints

I love it but I wonder if they ever receive noise complaints.

a few weeks ago 2 f-18s did a low speed low altitude pass right over the center of Zurich City they shocked a lot of people check the news.

Not many, as they do not use F/A-18 Super Hornets (Which the Swiss Airforce has exactly 0 pieces) nor does the Patrouille Suisse supersonic flights with its F-5 Tiger.

It appears that they do have at least two.

Re: Patrouille Suisse noise complaints

this post is about getting stung in the ear by a large scary insect does not matter if its a wasp or super hornet this is about the pain and about any complaints from citizens who I assume are not used to military exercises over their homes... in neutral peace loving switzerland. This is not even about sonic booms which do happen sometimes when fighter jets speed to identify an unresponsive aircraft, which is totally different from training at low altitude over cities...

however there are quite a few also some fly in for joint exercises from NATO. But this is switzerland and such information about what military exercises and what aircraft is not public...

Registration:
Boeing F/A-18C Hornet: J-5001 till J-5026 (26 aircraft)
Boeing F/A-18D Hornet: J-5231 till J-5238 (8 aircraft)

What is an F-18S Some Chinese knockoff?

17 weeks are "a few"

Btw. Pussies. Still remember the days the Mirage IIIS did regular supersonic training flights.

Then why do you have a picture of a F/A-18 Super Hornet literally braking the sound barrier as a cover photo

Over? Also around and under.

Let us see. Switzerland has an Army? Check. And Airforce? Also Check. Do they need training? Check as well. Year round? Check that for sure.

that's funny but I remember it like it was just a couple of weeks ago because they flew right over me and I was shocked because you really could not hear it until it passed over you

Re: Patrouille Suisse noise complaints

stop trying to be a smart-ass like you're well-informed
trust me most things you have no idea that they happened because they are not released to the public in Switzerland
for example a couple of nights ago all night long a large number of surveillance aircraft flew from Emmen over Schafhausen and the border area to Konstanz ...

Or 2 days ago when zurich police surrounded 2 buildings at paradeplatz with machine guns. Then packacked up and left after 10 minutes. Nobody knows anything.

Sorry. Had lunch. Just finished typing this up:

Regarding the police. Glad you noticed it otherwise we would have been disappointed, all the effort for nothing. Will do soon more stuff to the like of yours. Friend of mine had this really cool idea, be prepared for the unexpected

Nothing special, except maybe for Zurich city.
Was almost normal (though annoying, admittedly) to me at times. Depends on the region you live in.

They didn't even give you the sonic bang? What's the big deal then?!

Re: Patrouille Suisse noise complaints

Actually they just passed over us about 15 minutes ago - couldn't hear myself think for a moment. No sonic bangs, they're not in a hurry

The Mirage! Right aSitUS, those are the ones I remember from my childhood.
I seem to remember more of such noise back then than nowadays. But that is probably imagination?

14.30h, they passed again. To me the "novelty" wore off already and I hope they're not gonna make this a daily habit - or if so, at least let us know, whom we are getting preapared for?
