This, and look at German protectionism for example.

In Bavaria, the police drive BMWs. BMW is a Bavarian company. But that must be a coincidence seeing they do a fair and transparent tendering process.

In Baden Württember the Police drive Mercedes. Mercdes Benz is a BW company.

In Niedersachen they drive VW. can you guess where VW is based?

So many coincidences.

But when the Italian police drive Fiats, that's corruption.
Poor FIAT: most of the Polizia nowadays is using BMW 3-series tourings.

The Lamborghini and the new Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio of the Polizia are both ceded temporarily by the manufactures.

Me too. I'm down to my last box. Luckily I can re-stock this summer.

We used to have a boat at Malden.
Most of the time in Malden it's mudflats and waiting for high tide so you can actually sail somewhere.

Sea salt? Now that's patriotism.

Seriously, how could that be noticeably different than the others...

(rushing to buy that Himalayan pink stuff now :-) )

Texture and format as much as taste. Try it. There is a reason so many top chefs worldwide swear by it.

Out of curiosity, is it expensive?
I was in Migros the other week and seriously considering to pay something like 30 chf for a small, cute, rare salt jar....and then I came to my senses.

Re: Why is SVP popular?

Nope. About 9 chf / kg. I’ve bought fancy expensive Himalayan salt before for way more but I prefer Maldons over those any day.

Re: Why is SVP popular?

If a small percent of the population isn't completely against you... you're not doing a good job as a politician.

I prefer to respect a politician (which rarely happens) rather than like a politician. Any politician who's a nice guy you can be sure he's working against the country. Also, I respect those who work for the silent majority. Who, if they could, would line up tanks at the border to stop all the "refugees" oh ya... suuuure... your country sucks and always sucked so that makes you think you can come here...

Good job there were no tanks on the Wisconsin border back in the 19th century, eh?

Salt is salt.

Tom
Sea salt and land salt are processed in different ways, and land salt is more heavily processed due to which it loses more other minerals and elements, also table salt is almost always won by mining on land and has almost always added iodine therefor even tho the nutritional values are equal, taste and texture are different.
