Re: In Switzerland, climate change is highly visible

Species are supposed to go extinct, to make room for new species. Would humans have had a chance with dinosaurs roaming the earth ?

And look at the panda bears, liking and therefore eating only the lowest calorie food imaginable so they have to eat all their waking hours. Then you're just asking for extinction. I bet you they fart and belch a lot of greenhouse gasses too with a diet like that.

And what about the black plague bacteria ? Why is the world trying to make that one extinct ? Just because it is not a fuzzy lovable creature does not mean it has no right to live ?

The hypocracy of it all...

Tom, what is your problem with it?
It fascinates me.

We know you are a good guy with a good wife and have great moral values. That you like to cook a good meat dish (but also have a fantastic repertoire of vegetarian chilli etc.) is also fine. The motorbike hobby is cool.

Why are you so against this?
I can only answer for myself... its nice you found a hobby (orr cause if you will) to fight for but leave the rest of us alone. Your kind will only end up forbidding everything you deem bad and make the rest of us misserable. Except the rich of course who can avoid your nonsence by paying the extra taxes you have imposed.

Are you even concerned with Mr Putin and the other dictators, who you put in peril by forcing the world to be less dependent on oil ? .... though it wont be that bad as 1.3 billion Indians, 1.4 billion Chinese and 1.3 billion Africans are too busy surviving with what little they have and have no time for your Western bull excrement.

Exactly, that was the goal - great that you confirm it! But it resulted in great change! Will take on all the shyt the forum has to offer, then will give you a summary of what XR achieved (or you could keep up to date beforehand).
It's achieved nothing, and I'll tell you why. Most of Europe has been on a carbon-neutral agenda for about 20 years now. Look around, the landscape has been transformed by wind turbines and solar panels. Go out to sea and there's even more. Everything is recycled. The diesel engine is about to die, whilst electric and hybrid car sales are booming. It's preaching to the converted.

Meanwhile across the rest of the world no one really cares. China is burning more and more coal. And what they're not burning they're gasifying in their quest for energy self sufficiency - and here's where Europe's dirty little secret comes in - they're doing much of this with European tech and European equipment.

Why did you skip over the U.S.?

I'm glad I didn't read this yesterdayor I couldn't sleep. Please tell me you are joking?

Whats the problem with panda bears eating the whole day, seems pretty chill to me. The eat lots of bamboo, which is one of the fastest growing plants so they keep that balanced. Everything is about equilibria in nature.

Go to Labor Spiez then and hug those bacteria thigtly.
But your're right, even those bacteria have a purpose, I prefer myself and my relatives alive, so I'm quite happy with suppressing them.

But of course we cannot go extinct. We are the top of the pyramid. And there is nothing higher than us

Can you imagine the medieval battlefield if humans would have been able to tame dinosaurs ?

If dinosaurs tasted anything like modern day reptiles, simply delicious.

They could have been used, instead of war, to spread the good name of the Lord.

Here's a photograph from the year 28 B.C:
