But they aren't going to get each other pregnant.

I don't see why a male gay couple can't just work something out with a female gay couple, thus resolving the problem to everyone's satisfaction.

Tom
By everyone, you mean everyone else not directly involved in the relationship.

Should a straight couple having difficulty conceiving just phone a friend of the relevant gender too?

What about folk who have kids the "traditional " way and one of the couple later comes out as gay?

What if one of your children is gay and wants a family? Would the advice just be to "get over it"?

There's been a lot of jaw-dropping worrying threads on EF but.... by Christ... this one.

What if you are unable to procreate? Are all sexes wrong / right in that instance?

Sexual orientation develops with childhood and adolescence. Got nothing to do with being born a homosexual or a lesbian.

How about because surrogacy is illegal in Switzerland?

No conclusive proof either way. It's mere conjecture.

I'd tell them they already have a family and that children aren't an accessory.

I'd also question if they'd really want to put a kid through it.

Do you have kids? Did you have them as accessories? Good grief.
Put them through what? Life?

Did I say that. No. You are saying that. One of the big problems is that people are unable to deal with and understand their feelings. For example having platonic feelings to the same sex and wrongly interpreting it as homosexual feelings. They have not learnt to be able to order and interpret their feelings. They come to a false assumption.

I don't think society is as open and tolerant as some people imagine it to be.

My wife and I had kids as we wanted to create a family together.

Thats obvious. The person who prides himself on being " open " is usually quite the opposite when a certain set of circumstances arise.

So does any other couple. Doesn't make you superior or right because you're (presumably) heterosexual.
