Duty free for all! - Tariffs on industrial products might be abolished

The federal councils proposes that there shall be no more tariffs on industrial products. Switzerland has already zero tariff on products from many countries including China, Canada, EU, EFTA, Japan, Developing countries and territories.
notable exemption where tariffs apply are the US, Taiwan, and Australia.

The federation will lose income from tariffs of around
CHF 225 Millions on shoes, cloths, and other textile products.
CHF 50 Millions on cars, motorcycles,
CHF 50 Millions on machinery and electronic goods
CHF 22 Millions on drugs and pharmaceuticals

(The 4% car tax which is charged seems to remain)
