Last year we were told on good authority that COVID 19 did NOT come from a lab, now it's a distinct possibility. I am happy for members to have different opinions to myself & do not wish this forum to become an echo chamber of 'official news'. Plenty of governments have tried that over the last 100 years to make them appear good to their people & many people have died as a result.
A thread on Conspiracy beliefs will always have some 'interesting' posts, some of which will in time turn out to be accurate, I know a group who come up with far more 'interesting stuff' yet the members are all intelligent & successful people.

He's just copied and pasted a video.
There is no comment from him at all. This is worst than TikTok. At least in TikTok people make their own videos.

The video is based on fact. An accompanying comment from the poster would of been helpful.

At least in TikTok people make their own videos. | | | | | ...it is a comment there, but is very concise...I could elaborate more, but I am very cautious now as I been treated couple times to be ,,excommunicated''...many of my posts been deleted/sliced/moved...been called troll, anti-vaxer, conspiracy believer, leftist, etc...this just because I not believe in mainstream...as the history proved mainstream is never right...mainstream is always created by shepherds for herd to make sheep go easier to slaughterhouse...

Whilst recognising that I am repeating myself, this is a discussion forum not a video posting site like TikTok.
As for the great reset and things will never be the same again - that has happened many times during history and yes, things have never been the same but have they been worse afterwards?
The invention of the train and railways.
The industrial revolution.
Aeroplanes (both in commerical and in warfare).
WWII
The fall of the iron curtain
Industrialisation of the food industry.
and so on....

Personally I don’t think …..or…… counts as a comment.

There are no secrets here. Some things are hidden in plain sight. | | | | | All conspiracy theories have a nugget of truth and fact in them. The conspiracy part is how those facts are interpreted and conflated. EF members have been posting about 'The Great Reset' since the WEF in Jan 2020, long before you joined the forum.
It's a sad fact of life that you can be utterly open and completely honest with people, yet there are still some with suspicious minds or paranoia, who refuse to accept it and insist of seeing sinister ulterior motives which aren't present. It's one thing to always check your sources and facts, but another to abjectly refuse facts in favour of some nonsensical paranoid fantasy.
When the source of a video is a website asking money for more information, or for meet ups in Texas and Mexico, commonsense would make me think that may not be a reliable source and exist to relieve scared, vulnerable people of their money.

So much for mod impartiality. | | | | | Whilst I don't believe in "The Great Reset" as some great planned conspiracy led by the evil Klaus Schwab, I am less inclined to simply dismiss these concerns. A year and half ago, every week on his podcast Steve Bannon would have experts and doctors on his show and these people were talking about gain of function research in Wuhan, how the protein spikes in the virus didn't look natural. All of them were dismissed as crazies and quacks (rather like Bannon himself). It was dismissed as conspiracy theory, removed from social media etc. Fast forward to the present moment and it appears Steve Bannon and his guests were far more closer to the truth than almost the entire consensus of scientific* opinion in March 2020!
*Actually, it also turns out this isn't entirely accurate as many scientists are coming forward now to say they were worried about voicing these concerns over the Lab Leak Theory in fear of having their reputation ruined.

What happened to being ok just saying good ol' "We do not know enough". I remember hearing it quite a bit on local TV channels during the confinement and the whole last year, it really sounded honest and realistic. It is ok to not know something, some media will never say it for the fear of losing ratings. Maybe people here are more ok dealing with uncertainty, instead of resorting to labelling and name calling.

My source: USA Today Fact Check...
'In 2014, the NIH approved a grant to EcoHealth Alliance designated for research into “Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence.” The project involved collaborating with researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology to study coronaviruses in bats and the risk of potential transfer to humans.
The original five-year grant was reapproved by the Trump administration in July 2019. In total, $3,378,896 in NIH funding was directed from the government to the project.' https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/f...ab/3061490001/
As with most things of this ilk, it will be years before we know the full truth, and we may not know it in our lifetimes. There are still WWII events covered by The Official Secrets Act in the UK. So the options are, deal with the situation we're in, or waste precious time and energy wondering WTF went wrong in the first place. My preference will always be that the two things be done concurrently.

I fully understand the video in question. I've followed it to the source, and it's a website asking money for information and meet ups.
People who peddle Qanon theories and many conspiracy theories are in it purely for the money they can extract from scared, vulnerable people.
THAT is extortion!
Now you can spend all day long claiming that I don't understand this crap until you're blue in the face, but I recognise extortion when I see it. I recognise pyramid selling based upon fear when I see it. This is your ultimate snake oil salespeople peddling an idea and fear for hard earned cash.
If you choose, of your own volition, to stand by that, it would indicate to me that you care little for the members of this forum.

"Conspiracy theories are the things that allow stupid people to think they are being clever." - David Baddiel | | | | | The source of the video is largely irrelevant. What matters is that it is a short, thought-provoking video that could encourage those that may never of heard about The Great Reset to investigate further. Let them be free to make of it what they will rather than be told what to think.
The Baddiel quote you've posted is laughable. Far more apt in this case are: It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so. - Mark Twain All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident. - Arthur Schopenhauer
